Fall Welcome Fest image

Students, faculty and staff of the College of Engineering & Applied Science are welcome to join us for our annual back to school welcome event held inside the EMS building.

  • Meet students, faculty and staff from our college.
  • Learn about our student organizations.
  • Keep an eye out for Pounce!
  • Group photos with Pounce, students, faculty and staff at 12 and 1 pm. We will try for an outdoor photo, but will go indoors if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Welcome

  • Check-in next to the elevators on the 1st floor. (Bring your ID.)
  • Get your stamp card
    • You need the stamp card to get your free lunch.
    • Write your name, major and preferred contact info on the card.
    • See what kind of prizes you can get for stamps.
  • Ask any questions you might have.

Get your Free Lunch

  • Jimmy John’s sandwiches can be picked up in the Kulwicki Garage.
  • Go to the 3rd floor for more free lunch treats. Meet faculty and staff from each of the departments and staff who are here for you at our college.

Collect Stamps for a Prize

  • Meet some people from our college community and collect stamps from the student org tables on the first floor, the Student Support Center on the second floor, and the college department tables on the third floor to get a prize.
  • Deans from our college will be wandering the event. They will have stamps for you, too.

  • The more stamps, the better the prize! Redeem at check-in table by 1:30 pm.
    • 1-3 stamps = sticker or magnet
    • 4-5 stamps = key chain lanyard or 5-in-1 engineer pen
    • 6-7 stamps = pint glass, phone charger, or coffee mug
    • 8-10 stamps = socks or t-shirt
    • 11+ stamps = baseball hat, beanie hat, journal or stainless water bottle
  • One prize per person, while supplies last.

Free T-Shirt for Freshmen & Transfers

  • Stop by the Student Support Center (EMS E280).
  • Complete the new freshmen and transfer student survey (it only takes 3-5 minutes online).
  • Get a free t-shirt from our college (while supplies last).

Raffle

  • All students who submit their stamp card with their contact info on it are entered into a raffle for a premium college branded North Face shell jacket.
  • One lucky winner will be selected at random from all entries.
