Adrienne Woods serves as the Director of the Charter School Office. The Office of Charter Schools serves as the administrative and policy division with regard to the University's role as a charter school authorizing agent. Adrienne started her position, July 1. 2014; however, worked in a similar position within Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS). She was employed by MPS for over 21 years as a high school English teacher, school counselor and district-level administrator.

Adrienne is committed to providing quality educational options for our youth and believes charter schools are a viable option. Her dedication to ensure quality among charter schools and authorizing offices led to her selection as a member of the Leaders Program sponsored by the National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NACSA), an organization that is committed to advancing excellence and accountability in the charter school sector and to increasing the number of high-quality charter schools across the nation. Her participation in the Leaders Program second cohort allowed her the opportunity to network with others in similar positions from across the nation and gain additional knowledge to help better understand the sector from a local and national perspective.

Adrienne received her BS in English Education from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. She later earned her MS in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a second MS in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University.
