Erin A. Wiggins, MBA, MS, ASLTA-Q, is a professor of American Sign Language (ASL) and Coordinator for the ASL Studies Program at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.  She received her masters of business administration in Healthcare Administration and masters of Science in Healthcare Finance Management degrees from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.  She received her BS Degree in Community Health with a Biology minor from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

Before arriving at UW-Milwaukee, she was teaching ASL, Medical ASL, and Deaf Culture among other courses at three different colleges primarily at the University of Pennsylvania. She also spent many years at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in different positions within their healthcare system where she started to be active and continues to promote healthcare access for Deaf individuals focusing on Deaf children and women. She is also active in promoting Deaf community/culture awareness and ASL among healthcare professionals by developing and offering courses/ workshops targeted for health professionals.
