Jenny Sagrillo

Dr. Jenny Sagrillo works with the Milwaukee Area Collaborative Secondary Science Teacher Education Program (MACSTEP) as a mentor and field supervisor to secondary mathematics education students and as the instructor for secondary mathematics methods and seminar.

Dr. Sagrillo's research interests include the professional learning of experienced, mid-career teachers and the ways in which their learning intersects with the implementation of equitable mathematics instruction and the use and maintenance of high-cognitive-demand tasks.

Dr. Sagrillo earned her PhD in Urban Education with a specialization in Mathematics Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, her MS in Curriculum and Instruction from UWM, and her BS in Mathematics Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also spent nearly 20 years as a high school math teacher, with most of that time being spent in Milwaukee Public Schools.
