Craig Berg, PhD

Craig Berg directs the Milwaukee Collaborative Science and Mathematics Teacher Education Program (MACSTEP), an innovative approach to producing exemplary science teachers. He teaches methods of teaching science, graduate science education courses and professional development courses for GEAR UP. He focuses on effective use of technology in instruction with programs which are designed to implement collaboration between science, mathematics and social studies teachers by using the Internet.

Berg is past co-editor of The Journal of Science Teacher Education and publishes in scholarly journals such as the Journal of Research in Science Teaching and Science Education and practitioner journals such as The Science Teacher, The Biology Teacher, and Science and Children. Berg earned his MS and PhD in science education at the University of Iowa.
