Student Life

Life as a School of Education Student
The School of Education provides students with a wide array of opportunities to get involved on campus and within the community. Whether it be joining a student organization or attending an all-school event, students are able to connect with one another early on and make lasting impacts within UWM and the Milwaukee area.

Association of Student Affairs Professionals (ASAP) at UWM

ASAP is for all undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in student affairs and/or higher education.

Counseling Psychology Student Association (CPSA)

CPSA is for all students enrolled in the Counseling Psychology doctoral program in the School of Education.

Counseling Student Organization (CSO)

CSO is for all students enrolled in the school and/or community counseling master’s program within the Educational Psychology Department.

Educational Psychology Student Association (ESPA)

EPSA is for all students in programs within the Educational Psychology Department.

Phi Lambda Theta (PLT)

PLT is a national honor society for educators. Membership is limited to students who satisfy academic eligibility requirements.

School Psychology Student Association (SPSA)

The purpose of the SPSA is to provide opportunities for professional development, advocate for the needs of fellow school psychology students, and help create a collaborative environment within the program.

Signing Student Association (SSA)

SSA is for students who have a vested interest in American Sign Language (ASL) and the Deaf Community and is a safe place to practice using ASL.

Student Wisconsin Education Association (SWEA)

SWEA is an organization for any college students pursuing careers as educators.
