We are delighted to announce Professor Qingsu Cheng has newest  MIDD member. Dr. Cheng has previously worked as postdoctoral researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Research Scientist at the University of Nevada in Reno.

Dr. Cheng’s research focuses on the breast tumor environment, especially the interaction between tumor-associated fibroblasts (FB) and cancer cells. A novel metabolomics approach is currently developed in his laboratory. His group specifically identified SLIT3, FBLN-1, and PENK as active protein ligands secreted from CD36⁺ FB that induced growth suppression in 3D cell culture.
