MIDD members are participating in the ACS SEED program

We are very proud of our MIDD members that support the ACS SEED (Summer Experience for the Economically Disadvantaged) this year. The ACS project enrolls  more than 350+ students nationally for a 8-10 week summer program at different US Universities. At UWM, the program is further supported by Bader Philanthropies and directed by Prof Blecking from the UWM Department of Chemistry. On the 31st of July, we were visited by ACS CEO Al Horvath gaining inside of the program at UWM.

He stopped by the Laboratory of Prof. Arnold to visit Maya and Aliyah that were conducting organic synthesis with graduate student Ethan Kowalczyk. In total, eight students enrolled in the program at UWM. Other MIDD members that welcomed students in their labs were Profs Silvaggi and Saha.
