LaTonya Ramsey

LaTonya Ramsey is the Finance & Operations Manager for the Division of CEII at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM) campus.  She is responsible for a variety of professional level work across a miscellany of administrative service areas including budget, finance, procurement, and human resources, with impact across the institution in support of CEII and institutional goals.

LaTonya earned her Master of Business Administration degree, with concentrations in both Human Resource Management and Risk Management, in December of 2015, from Concordia University Wisconsin.  She has acquired invaluable talents, expertise, and competence while working in the private sector as a Senior Statistical Analyst for Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) as well as the public sector as an Unemployment Insurance Adjudicator for the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD).  LaTonya began her career with UWM in January of 2011 and has over a decade of experience working on the UWM campus in both the department of Human Resources as well as the Division of Global Inclusion & Engagement, currently known as CEII.  It was while working within the CEII division she discovered her passion for supporting workplace strategies that drive inclusive efforts. LaTonya uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed.

A Chicago, Illinois native, LaTonya relocated to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area with her family, as a teenager, where she continues to reside.  Inspired by her family, LaTonya endorses a healthy work life balance.  In her free time, she enjoys a plethora of family-oriented activities which include camping, hiking, softball, beach going and visiting various state and national parks.  Additionally, LaTonya loves to read and can often be found curled up on her favorite lounge chair, with a book in one hand and a cold beverage in the other!
