Katie Mannix

Katie is a new addition to the Office of Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights; however, she is not new to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  Katie previously worked in Human Resources Shared Services, where she assisted employees of UWM with a variety of human resource related inquires.  Prior to her time at UWM, Katie served in various people-centered roles in the areas of juvenile justice/child welfare, behavioral health, and emergency medical services.

Katie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies and a Certificate in Criminal Justice.  She later earned a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

As an Equal Opportunity/Title IX Investigator in EOCR, Katie assists in responding to and resolving complaints of discrimination and discriminatory harassment, including sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and sex/gender-based violence. She serves as a primary investigator on student Title IX complaints.
