The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department regularly employs 50-60 teaching assistants per semester over the academic year. Of these, often we will employ junior or senior-level undergraduate students majoring in chemistry or biochemistry. The number of undergraduate students we employ varies based on number of graduate teaching assistants and course enrollments.

If you are a chemistry or biochemistry major at UWM in your junior or senior year and you are interested in learning more about becoming a teaching assistant, please fill out the request below. The department Assistant Chair will contact you with more information as well as a link to an online application.

We appreciate all of our teaching assistants in the department – they are a critical component of fulfilling our instructional mission!
