Town Hall Meeting for Faculty & Staff

Dear UWM Faculty and Staff,

Please join me and other UW-Milwaukee leaders for a virtual town hall meeting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 25. As we plan to reopen campus for fall 2020, there are many details and issues to address and we understand you have questions. This Microsoft Teams town hall is designed especially for our faculty and staff.

Several of our leaders will provide updates and all will be available to answer your questions. Participants include me, Provost Johannes Britz, Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administrative Affairs Robin Van Harpen, Chief Student Affairs Officer Kelly Haag and several other campus leaders who can address issues related to facilities, instruction, health, human resources, student enrollment and services, and more.

How to Ask a Question

As members of the Panther community, your voices are important. I invite your questions, which can be shared in advance or asked online during the live town hall by sending to: uwm-townhall@uwm.edu. When submitting your question, please indicate whether you would prefer to remain anonymous. We have launched a Fall 2020 Reopening website with updates, links to detailed reports about our planning for instruction and campus operations, FAQs organized by topic and a feature to submit questions. Please check this comprehensive resource before submitting a town hall question as it may already be answered; there are hundreds of answers available just a few clicks away.

Accessing the Town Hall Meeting

Please join the town hall meeting here on June 25 at 9 a.m. The same link can be used for viewing the meeting at a later time if you are unable to watch it live. A captioning function is available; see below for details. Live viewing with an interpreter is available by making advanced arrangements with Amy Hogle in our Accessibility Resource Center.

Need some help with Microsoft Teams? There’s no need to download anything. Here are the steps to view a Microsoft Teams event.

Read this information from Microsoft to learn more about the captioning function.

Please know that you are important to UWM and we look forward to hearing from you as we prepare for the fall. I hope you can join us next week.

Best regards,

Mark A. Mone
