Kyoung Ae Cho’s “Slow Art” Featured in TextielPlus

Kyoung Ae Cho, a former 2024-25 research fellow, was recently profiled in Textiel Plus, a Dutch fiber art magazine. The article, published in both Dutch and English, is titled “The Slow Art of Kyoung Ae Cho” and explores her art practice, which she describes as “minimalist, meditative, and with an eye for detail.”

Cho is a professor of fiber arts at Peck School of the Arts. As an artist, she engages in a conversation with nature that results in various visual formats, including fiber construction, quilts, collage, woven pieces, sculpture, photography, drawing, and installation. She transforms gathered natural materials, recycled materials, and low-value materials into works of art.
