This ensemble invites advanced beginners or skilled amateurs within the community to rehearse and perform together. Open to anyone who can read music and enjoys playing classical symphonic and pops repertoire. The Orchestra is under the direction of Margery Deutsch, UWM Professor Emeritus, and her conducting staff.
Rehearsals take place Wednesdays from 7–9:30 p.m. throughout the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters with a final concert to celebrate the season. Please visit the University Community Orchestra page within the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute for full dates and details.
Auditions are not required to join. Instrument selections are made at time of registration. You must be registered prior to the beginning of the session. No walk-ins are allowed. Participation will be available on a first come-first served basis. Once slots are filled, you will be placed on a waiting list.

Students seeking college credit should register by enrolling in one of the following:
- MUS 81 – non music majors
- MUS 181 – *music majors
- MUS 781 – *grad students
