Location
Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts, Bader Hall and Virtual
The UWM Wind Ensemble presents an exciting concert showcasing guest artists, international collaborators, and high school musicians from near and far. The program features Hub New Music performing Gala Flagello’s new work Bird-While, as well as Italian music students and conductors from cultural exchange programs as part of the International Music Project. We’re also thrilled to welcome select high school band students as they sit in with the Wind Ensemble for a side-by-side performance experience with UW–Milwaukee graduate and undergraduate music students.
The UWM Wind Ensemble is the premier concert band in the Peck School of the Arts and has been recognized nationally and internationally through numerous invitations to perform at major music conferences. Emphasizing the single performer concept, the Wind Ensemble uses only players needed for a given piece, thus providing the greatest exposure for the exceptional musician.
