Biography
Teddy is an artist-printmaker and book artist, born and raised in a small town in northeast Indiana. They hold a BFA from Ball State University and an MFA in Printmaking and Bookmaking from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Teddy is a board member at Anchor Press, Paper, and Print (AP3), a local non-profit community print shop, and a resident artist at House of RAD an artist collective in Riverwest.
Teddy’s 'becoming' queer is at the center of their art practice, which draws on their personal experience of shame, joy, gender, and queer identity. Teddy’s prints, books, and drawings invite the viewer into their private spaces where the work of becoming queer is done, revealing the messiness and the joy of being oneself.
