How to Start the Transfer Process

  1. Gather Application Materials

You’ll need your official high school and college transcripts ready, as well as a few other pieces of info:

    • A list of the courses you’re currently taking.
    • A list of activities and work experience.
    • Basic personal or parent info, such as address and contact information.
  2. Apply to UWM

Transfer students can apply to UWM at apply.wisconsin.edu. No application fee is required and it will take one to three weeks for an admission decision.

  3. Evaluate Transfer Credits

After you’re admitted to UWM, the Registrar’s Office evaluates your credits to make sure the maximum amount of credits are transferred.

If you’d like to get a sense of how your credits might transfer, check out the Transfer Equivalency Database. You can also set up an appointment with our dedicated admissions counselor for Stritch students.
