The 2017 Milwaukee Partners In Giving/State and University Employees Combined Giving Campaign (SECC) with the United Way gets underway Monday! 

You can get involved in helping a number of charities across the area by making a donation. Last year’s campaign raised over $100,000 from current and retired UWM faculty and staff, and this year we hope to exceed that goal.

Whether through a payroll deduction, one-time gift, online contribution or participation in a campus special event, please donate today! An official campaign kickoff postcard will be arriving soon in your campus mailbox, but you do not need to wait to contribute. Online giving is the easiest way to give and it is active now! Through online giving, you can make a one-time gift or set up a payroll deduction schedule that best fits you.

Everyone who donates to this year’s campaign will receive two free Milwaukee Panthers basketball tickets. Plus, drawings for Visa gift cards and great Brewers and Packers prizes will happen throughout the next six weeks. Anyone donating on or prior to Oct. 20 will be entered into the first prize drawing for a Packers gift pack. 

Last year’s donations ranged from $5-$3600, and any amount you can give will make a difference to whichever charity you choose.

The complete SECC campaign runs through November 30, with a wrap up and recognition at the campus holiday party Dec. 1. Additional prizes will be available throughout the campaign for both online and offline giving. Schools, colleges and departments on campus will also host a variety of special events to help raise additional funds. Contact your department coordinator for more information.
