- PH 790 Field Experience Handbook (PDF)
- The main Field Experience Preceptor Handbook provides a broad overview of the Field Experience in Public Health for all students pursuing one of the six available tracks in UWM’s MPH program.

- As the Nutrition & Dietetics track has some unique components – including the opportunity for students to achieve competency measures established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) – this supplementary document will help provide you with additional information, resources, and guidance to help you navigate the field experience with your student.
- PH 790 Field Experience in Public Health – Nutrition Education Project guidelines (PDF)
- A nutrition education project (starting with a needs assessment and concluding with evaluation) is required of all MPH-Nutrition & Dietetics track students. The project is designed to ensure that each student has an opportunity to build and attain competency in several areas that are required during the PH 790 experience.
- PH 790 Student Evaluation Form (Word)
- Use this form to officially evaluate your student at the end of the Field Experience in Public Health semester. A brief “check in” conversation with ZCPH staff will be scheduled for mid-way through the field experience to ensure the student is on track for competency attainment. You are encouraged to review the evaluation form in advance of that mid-semester check-in, but it does not need to be filled out or submitted at that time.

- This handbook provides a broad overview of the Food Systems Management & Field Experience required only of MPH students in the Nutrition & Dietetics track.

Did you know?
RDNs can earn continuing professional education units (CPEUs) for being a preceptor. As of June 1, 2017, RDNs may be eligible to earn a total of 15 CPEUs per five-year cycle for precepting students.
