Unless otherwise noted, seminars are on Friday afternoons at 1:00 PM in KIRC 2175; there is a gathering for a brown bag lunch at 12:30.

My take on the black hole information paradox

I’ll review the nature of the paradox, explain why I think it is much more
interesting (and useful) than I used to think it was, and explain why I
think virtually all discussions and attempts to resolve it are missing the
most important points relevant for its eventual resolution. If I am foolish
enough (which is likely) I will describe my own half-baked proposal.
