INTLST 193 First-Year Seminar:
3 cr. Undergraduate.
Specific topics are announced in the Schedule of Classes each time the class is offered.

INTLST 250 Introduction to Study Abroad
2 cr. Undergraduate.
Discussion of study abroad programs by addressing objectives, cross-cultural communication; specific programs and pre-departure information.

INTLST 260 Introduction to International Careers
2 cr. Undergraduate.
Introduction to a wide variety of career options in area of international studies, partly through lectures with academics and professionals from relevant fields.

INTLST 297 Study Abroad:
1-12 cr. Undergraduate.
Designed to enroll students in a UWM sponsored program before course level, content, and credits are determined and/or in a specially prepared program course. Section title(s) and credits announced whenever course is offered.

INTLST 299 Ad Hoc:
1-6 cr. Undergraduate.
Course created expressly for offering in a specified enrollment period. Requires only dept & assoc dean approval. In exceptional circumstances, can be offered in one add'l sem.

INTLST 450 Internship in International Studies
2-6 cr. Undergraduate.
Internship offering on the job experience to selected majors in international studies. Student enrolls for a specific number of credits.

INTLST 497 Study Abroad:
1-12 cr. Undergraduate.
Designed to enroll students in UWM sponsored program before course work level, content and credits are determined and/or in specially prepared program course work.

INTLST 498 Applied Foreign Language
1 cr. Undergraduate.
Independent reading in a foreign language as companion to courses in international studies. To be arranged with International Studies coordinator.

1-6 cr. Undergraduate.
Course created expressly for offering in a specified enrollment period. Requires only dept & assoc dean approval. In exceptional circumstances, can be offered in one add'l sem.

INTLST 550 Senior Seminar in International Studies:
3 cr. Undergraduate/Graduate.
Interdisciplinary seminar with emphasis on functional/regional problems in world affairs.

INTLST 550G Senior Seminar in International Studies:
3 cr. Undergraduate/Graduate.
Interdisciplinary seminar with emphasis on functional/regional problems in world affairs.

INTLST 699 Independent Study
1-6 cr. Undergraduate.
Advanced independent work under the supervision of an IntlSt faculty or instructional academic staff member. Students must submit a study proposal. For more information, consult prog coord or advisor.
