Disinformation and Democracy: How the Information Environment Impacts Our Elections

Join us at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for a timely program exploring how individuals, entities and systems providing information (and disinformation) in America are shaping our elections.

Panelists include: Greg Borowski, Deputy Editor of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Bret Schafer, Senior Fellow at the Alliance for Securing Democracy, and Maria Haigh, Associate Professor in UW-Milwaukee’s School of Information Studies. UWM Institute of World Affairs Director Doug Savage will moderate.

This program is being organized by the Institute of World Affairs in partnership with UWM’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and in cooperation with The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Alliance for Securing Democracy. Limited in-person seating is available. The program will also be streamed live. There is no cost to participate but pre-registration is required.
