Higher Expectations’ Two Generation Initiative

Background

October 2018- October 2021

The Higher Expectations’ Two Generation Initiative was a StriveTogether-funded project that aimed to support unemployed or underemployed mothers with young children, by offering intentional and aligned access to workforce training programs, high quality childcare and holistic supportive services in Racine County. A pilot cohort of the initiative, The Rise Up Program, was launched in the Fall of 2020 and was designed to engage participants in group sessions and one-on-ones focused on topics related to self, career, and family.

The ICFW is conducted a mixed-methods evaluation to support program development, assess program implementation, promote quality improvement, and evaluate impact.
