Family Foundations Home Visiting Program

Background

Wisconsin’s Family Foundations Home Visiting (FFHV) program is a statewide network of agencies that provide evidence-based home visiting services to pregnant women and families with children under age 5. Program services include screening and assessment, parent education, and referral to community supports that help to promote maternal and child health, positive parenting, and household stability.

Since 2011, ICFW has led a statewide evaluation of the FFHV program, and routinely findings with local programs and state policy makers to promote model fidelity and continuous quality improvement.

Beginning in 2021, as a part of the overall Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program evaluation, Wisconsin FFHV is participating in a Coordinated State Evaluation (CSE) focused on family engagement and health equity in conjunction with four other states and Washington, DC. Over the next four years, Wisconsin will conduct a multi-method evaluation that focuses on three themes: (1) engaging diverse groups of families, (2) goal setting and achievement, and (3) promoting health equity.
