UWM is proud to announce that it will provide professional development opportunities for all employees, including training specifically for supervisors, starting in October 2022 and continuing through April 2023.

All professional development sessions will be held as Microsoft Teams meetings. Please see the sessions below for the registration links.

For those unable to attend the live sessions, recordings will be made available in video format shortly after the live session occurs. To document registration for the professional development sessions for supervisors, you will be asked to submit a brief web form to obtain the video recording.


Supervisors of staff with limited or no computer access are encouraged to print and share the document below with their direct reports. Further assistance may be needed to register employees and make arrangements for viewing the professional development sessions. All professional development sessions will be recorded and made available in video format on this website.

General Sessions for all Employees

Employees should discuss any training plans and dates with their supervisor to ensure there is adequate coverage. To the extent that it is possible and practical, supervisors are encouraged to allow their staff to participate in professional development opportunities.

Sessions for Supervisors

Effective September 5, 2018, the chancellor approved a recommendation of the Chancellor’s Employee Leadership & Development Advisory Committee (CELDAC) requiring all individuals new to supervision at UWM to complete the following six (6) Sessions for Supervisors within two years. Individuals with established supervisory responsibilities are encouraged to repeat training as appropriate.
