The MIDD has started to work with Sanacor, Inc last summer and is planning to support Sanacor during their journey to develop new therapies to alleviate mitochondrial dysfunction in cardiometabolic diseases. Sanacor co-founder Mike Widlansky and MIDD director Leggy Arnold have started to collaborate in 2015 and were funded by the NIH grant R01HL128240. The significant funding provided by Venture Investors Health Fund will significantly accelerate Sanacor’s efforts to develop diabetes-specific treatments.
