RE-CHARGE STEM program visited MPP group

On Friday the 26th of June, the participants of the UWM RE-CHARGE STEM program 2026 visited MPP group in Mequon, WI. Dr. Ben Nelson, Director of MPP, welcomed our group of twenty Wisconsinites and informed us about the history and business model of MPP group. Participants of the RE-CHARGE program are trained this summer at UWM to become laboratory technicians. Dr. Nelson and his colleagues Matthew and Jake explain what kind of laboratory skills and techniques are most important for MPP. They showed us different aspects of their outstanding facility including different laboratories and explained how the FDA regulates the analyses and formulations conducted by MPP. Our participants observed how important analytical chemistry is for the quality control of their products. For some participants, it was the first time to see a laboratory in a professional setting. We would like to thank MPP for taking the time to showcase their business to job seekers that are interested in working as laboratory technicians.
