Milwaukee startup company Function Therapeutics moves to the Chemistry Department at UWM to conduct their R&D. The company is led by Dr. Chris Dockendorff (formerly Marquette Chemistry faculty), and is focused on the medicinal chemistry of a new class of anti-thrombotic and anti-inflammatory agents called parmodulins. Function Therapeutics recently received a Dept. of Defense Discovery Award to support their research, which will be supported by the MIDD.
