Celebrating the Completion of the 2026 Re-Charge Stem Program

Friday the 7th of August was the last day of the 2026 Re-Charge program. It was a busy day. During the last week of the program, we helped our program participants to create impactful resumes and compelling cover letters. We worked together with Alexander Balistreri from the staffing firm Actalent, who came to UWM to educate our participants about the hiring process and conducted mock interviews. The goal of the RE-CHARGE program is to teach participants basic laboratory skills to facilitate employment as laboratory technician after completion of the program. On the last day, representatives from Wixon, Sterling Pharma, MPP and Ereztech successfully conducted job interviews at UWM. In addition, we celebrated the completion of the second year of this program with representatives from the Universities of Wisconsin, UWM, Employ Milwaukee, and local businesses. The highlight of the event was the hand out of RE-CHARGE certificates. Our program is aligning with the Wisconsin Workforce Development program supported by the Madison College and MATC as part of the Wisconsin BiohealthTechHub led by BioForward Wisconsin. We will continue working with these institutions and are looking for support by the local business community to continue offering this program. Donate here!
