Wisconsin residents who have received Food Share (commonly known as SNAP) can find the latest FoodShare benefits information from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. If you have received FoodShare, stay informed by visiting MyACCESS and making sure your contact information is up to date.

UWM students in need of food support have several resources including the UWM Food Center and Pantry in the UWM Student Union and food pantries throughout the metro area.

University Support

UWM Food Center and Pantry

The Food Center and Pantry is open to UWM students and employees.

Tuesdays: 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (by appointment only)
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Emergency Grants

To request a UWM Emergency Grant or Universities of Wisconsin Emergency Grant for an unexpected financial challenge, go to the Panther Scholarship Portal. First complete the four required questions for the General Scholarship Application. Then, complete either/both of the Emergency Grant applications. In your application, include documentation of your bills and expenses you’d like the grant to cover.
