Thomas Bottoms

Tom Bottoms joined the Dean of Students Office in April 2025 as a Student Conduct Coordinator with primary responsibility as a resource for faculty and students in cases of alleged academic misconduct.

Tom comes to UWM with over 15 years of experience in student affairs with strong experience in student support, student activities, residence life, leadership development, and student conduct. He believes that the college experience can be transformative for students who make the most of their opportunities on campus and strives to help them do so. Professional interests include student development, higher education assessment, and student retention.

Tom earned his masters from Southern Illinois University- Carbondale and his undergraduate degree in history from UW- La Crosse.

When not at work, you can usually find Tom playing with his kids, supporting local sports, doing woodworking, or fishing.
