Research Synergies: Faculty Writing Group/Set Aside Time – Fall 2024 (Virtual)

The CCEP Research Synergies Working Group invites colleagues to participate in the Fall 2024 Faculty Writing Group/Set Aside Time. The purpose of these optional events is to have dedicated writing time to work on manuscripts, grant applications, etc. Research Subgroup members will open the sessions. In opening these events, the facilitators may briefly ask those in attendance what they plan to work on during the time, plus do an optional check-in at the end.

Virtual Sessions will occur on Thursday 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm
September 26 | October 31st | November 21 | December 19

Hybrid \ In-Person Sessions will occur on Friday 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm

September 27 –  “I’m interested in a grant. How do I get started?”

November 1 – “I need someone to read my specific aims, a section of my manuscript, etc.?” Come meet with a colleague editor.

CANCELLED: Due to scheduling conflict, this session has been cancelled. We hope to re-schedule this session for a future date.
November 22 – “I’m stuck on (fill in the blank) getting funded, getting a book proposal accepted, going from Associate to Full Professor, etc.” Come meet confidentially with a supportive colleague to bounce around ideas and get unstuck.

December 20 – No theme for this session.
