A minor in Chinese consists of 21 credits. Students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in language courses including third- through sixth semester Chinese. Students who test beyond third-semester Chinese as a starting point may discuss the availability of retroactive credits with their advisor. Those students would then take additional elective credits to complete the minor. Electives can be chosen from the same list of electives available to students completing the Chinese program as a Committee Interdisciplinary Major. Students need to complete 9 upper-level credits in the Chinese subject area.
