Fesenjoon Potluck

  • Friday, December 4, 1-3pm
  • 929 Curtin Hall, 3243 N. Downer Ave.
  • Free & open to the public; prior registration requested

Join us on December 4 for a lunchtime gathering that celebrates C21’s current theme cycle, SLOW: The pace of being human.

“Slowness” isn’t only about the big picture, such as how we live or the important decisions we make. It also applies to the most ordinary parts of our day, like cooking and eating. In today’s busy world, a meal often means a burger near the office, a quick pot of noodles, or, at its healthiest, a salad or protein bowl ordered in. But can these quick meals give us what a home-cooked meal does, not just for our health, but also for our enjoyment and for the soul?

On Friday, December 4th, we at C21 will gather to share a meal that has been slowly prepared over several hours. Together, we will explore the idea of slowness in the kitchen: how realistic it is in today’s world, and how we might bring more of it into our daily lives.

C21 will provide the main course, fesenjoon, with a vegetarian alternative.

You are welcome to bring rice, a side dish, or a desert.

This event is free. All are welcome.
