Sing Out brings together 750+ 9th-12th grade and 350+ 7th-8th grade tenor-bass singers from over 60 schools from around Wisconsin and Illinois. No advance preparation is required; students learn pieces at the festival and conclude the morning with the high school and middle school choirs singing for one another and together. Additional activities include performances by the UWM Tenor-Bass Choir and interest and reading sessions for directors.

Schedule

7:15 a.m.Check-in and seating: Students should dress professionally and according to their school dress code. No performance attire required.
8–11:30 a.m.Warm-ups, rehearsal, director workshops and reading sessions, and performance by the UWM Kameraden Tenor-Bass Choir.
11:30–noonPerformances by seventh/eighth-grade students, ninth- through twelfth-grade students and combined choirs.

Sheet Music

Schools must provide music for each participating singer. Music can be ordered from Brass Bell Music Store in Glendale, which has the music available at a discount.

Registration

Open to Choral Directors. Limited to the first 700 registered 9–12 graders and first 300 registered 7–8 graders. All payments must be received by September 1. Middle and high schools should register separately unless they have a single director at both schools – in which case they may register on one form and pay a single registration.
