Jill Wine-Banks is a distinguished attorney, former Watergate prosecutor, General Counsel for the Army during the Carter Administration, MSNBC Legal Analyst, podcast host, and a specific kind of jewelry collector. Jill uses the pin as a messaging device to convey ideas, make statements, and construct narratives. This is an exhibition and archiving project featuring pins mined from her personal collection accumulated over a lifetime of work in the political and legal landscape in the US.

The exhibition also features emerging and established artists and jewelers, UWM Jewelry & Metalsmithing students who have created artwork that acts as messaging devices and inspired by items from the Special Collections. Curated by Erica Meier with Ana Hansa-Ogren and Max Yela. Hosted by the Peck School of the Arts Jewelry & Metalsmithing Area in the Department of Art & Design and the UWM Library Special Collections.
