Jessica Meuninck-Ganger’s research demonstrates how printmaking, book arts, and social engagement encourage connection and healing within communities. As an artist, educator, and collaborator, she crafts spaces where traditions flourish, skills are shared, and new possibilities are discovered through material and process. With over 25 years of enriching experience, she has collectively orchestrated community projects, sparked interdisciplinary collaborations, and fostered international initiatives that elevate the arts in local and global communities. Through mentorship, exchange, co-creation, and grassroots organizing, she champions printmaking, papermaking, and book arts—tools for belonging, resilience, and collective innovation. In 2022, she proudly received the Outstanding Creative Research Achievement Award, biennially presented to a UWM faculty member for impactful contributions. This recognized her remarkable work on WaterMarks MKE (NSF funded grant), Aesthetics of Loss (a collaborative curatorial endeavor with Nirmal Raja and Linda Marcus), Care Showers (in partnership with Anne Basting, PhD), and Anchor Press, Paper, and Print (the sole community printshop in Milwaukee, WI).
