Biography

Isaac is a filmmaker, technician, and educator based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His personal work often explores the relationship between communication technology and physical landscape, in both rural and urban environments. He specializes in archival 16mm theatrical projection, in addition to workshopping methods in analog cinematography within his coursework and technical oversight at UW–Milwaukee.

His work has been screened at the Chicago Underground Film Festival, Milwaukee Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, Uppsala Short Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, Under Berlin Film Festival, Tallahassee Film Festival, Lausanne Underground Film and Music Festival, Winnipeg Underground Film Festival, and the Festival Transterritorial de Cine Underground.

He received his MFA in Cinematic Arts from UW–Milwaukee in 2014. He has collaborated with the Brattle Film Foundation, Eureka! Video, the Brattleboro Words Project, and the Provincetown International Film Festival. His writing has been published in the journal Film and History.
