Biography

Betty has worked in the commercial video industry since graduating from UW-Milwaukee in 2013. She started her own company in 2016 with a MIAD Time Based Media alum. Their company specializes in video storytelling for progressive nonprofits in the greater Milwaukee area and beyond.

Betty has a wide variety of interests and filmmaking skills. Her work covers the bases of pre-production, on-set production, and post-production. Her primary work is in editing. In addition to nonprofit storytelling, she has worked on a multitude of music videos and corporate videos for nationally recognized brands and artists. She has also directed short films that have screened at a variety of festivals.

Recent & Selected Works

Betty collaborated with Dr. Brice D. Smith and Janice Colby to capture interviews of Black LGBTQ+ Individuals in Milwaukee, WI for the House of History Project. The House of History is a program of Diverse & Resilient. It was made possible with funding awarded by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
