Community Design Solutions collaboration with Milwaukee City Parks featured by Spectrum News 

Students from the School of Architecture & Urban Planning’s Community Design Solutions worked with Milwaukee City Parks to create park infrastructure using reclaimed wood. Spectrum News anchor Jason Fechner spoke with Community Design Solutions director Krisann Rehbein about how the project got started and how students used abstract thinking and creative methods to design effective and affordable benches for Milwaukee parks.  

Joy Engine’s ArtBlaze event returns with work from architecture students 

Joy Engine’s ArtBlaze, a free community art celebration, returns for summer 2026. With it comes the return of a collaboration between the School of Architecture & Urban Planning and FuzzPop Workshop.
