Alum Claire Hitchcock Tilton (MArch, 2021) is working alongside her father, Steven Tilton, to restore the Milwaukee Boathouse, a well-known landmark in Milwaukee’s Cambridge Woods neighborhood. Steven Tilton purchased the home in 2018, and the father-daughter team helped breathe new life into its distinctive architectural fantasy.
In the TMJ4 segment by James Groh, Hitchcock Tilton explains some of the roadblocks encountered during the reconstruction.
“This is not a normal project. You can’t just look up a miniature lighthouse carpenter,” Hitchcock Tilton said.
