It can be a particular challenge for students who are starting a research project to feel like they have all the tools they need to be successful. In this small 1-credit undergraduate research seminar students learn about the culture of university research while also taking the necessary steps to make the most of a research experience. The course covers research ethics, how to talk about your research to different audiences, how to write an abstract, a discussion on graduate school, and explores other important research resources.
The seminar is held Fall and Spring semesters on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:20pm in Bolton Hall 192. If there is a lot of interest an online asynchronous version of the class might be offered. If you are interested in enrolling for the course please email Jessica Schuld.
