UW-Milwaukee enhances its landscape for the health of human and biological well-being. 

A dense urban campus presents challenges of compaction, impervious services, and smart growth.  Such restraints also present opportunities to take special care of our green spaces.  Beyond the green infrastructure that stormwater management provides, there are also multiple prairies, substantial woodlands, and chemical-free lawns to enjoy across campus.
