- Join us for a behind the scenes peak at UWM’s sustainability operations! Learn about our 34 distinct waste, recycling, and recovery streams and tour sustainable hidden treasures!

  - Build your own Microgreens Kit and harvest herbs from our hydroponics system.

  - Hike from Downer Woods to the Shorewood Nature Preserve, with Outdoor Pursuits.

Pollinator Protector Volunteer Sessions

You can learn more, see what volunteer options are available, and register using this form.
- Close-toed shoes required. Bring your own gloves if you have them (we have extras) and a water bottle. Work is 100% outside weather permitting. You will get dirty so dress accordingly.
- Unless otherwise noted, we generally at the Sustainability Offices in Architecture & Urban Planning, Room 116 and then walk to different garden and green infrastructure sites across campus each week. If you arrive late, look for signs on the door. Here are the upcoming dates (Thursdays, unless noted):
