Peer Mentors work an average of 10 hours per week. The position begins with a starting wage of $11/hour. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better, two semesters of coursework, and a desire to assist peers during their first year at UWM. Peer Mentors are students of leadership, academic skills, and campus knowledge.
Qualifications
- Must have completed at least two semesters at the undergraduate level (or an accumulation of 24 university-level credits).
- Must maintain good academic standing, minimum 2.5 GPA for applicant consideration.
- Must be available to attend all training sessions before the Fall & Spring semesters.
- Must possess initiative, responsibility, and good judgement as well as the ability to work. independently with little to no supervision while performing a variety of tasks.
