Chime | Milwaukee premiere!

Matsuoka, a culinary instructor, witnesses the suicide of a student driven to insanity by what he claims is a chiming sound that controls his mind. Soon, Matsuoka begins hearing it, too, descending into a mental abyss that warps his perception and gives vent to his darkest impulses. Expertly blending psychological portraiture and hallucinatory mystery, Kiyoshi Kurosawa interrogates the stability of everyday existence in a signature cinematic exegesis of escalating dread.
