A Tending – Community Grief Garland Workshop

How can creating with our hands help us to move through challenging life experiences? Join Jennifer Basitan in the Union Art Gallery for a workshop to explore grief through a community workshop.

Whether you’re dealing with life transitions, unresolved grief, or daily stress, using your hands to make with fabric, thread and other materials can bring relief. Artist Jennie Bastian will demonstrate how she processes stress and grief through making with her hands. She will use scrap fabric and other materials to facilitate making objects to contribute to the Community Grief Garland and share about her residency.
