A Tending – Exhibtion Run

Join the Union Art Gallery for A Tending, featuring UWM alumna Jennifer Bastian. Through fiber, sculpture, installation, and photography, Jennifer creates environments that invite reflection, vulnerability, and care. Drawing from personal experiences, her work transforms everyday materials into vessels that emphasize the shared human yearning for safety and acceptance. We hope this exhibition encourages a sense of community among visitors while suggesting that healing can emerge through shared stories and acts of care. Jennifer received her BFA in Photography from SAIC and her MA and MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is also the Thurber Park Artist in Residence for the City of Madison for 2024-2026.
