Distinguished Lecture Series: A Conversation with Renée Elise Goldsberry

Join us in the Wisconsin Room for an evening with Tony and Grammy Award-winning actress and singer Renée Elise Goldsberry. Goldsberry recently released her debut album, Who I Really Am, featuring original music written that blends soul, blues, pop, folk, and her gospel roots. She is also the subject of the acclaimed 2025 documentary Satisfied, which explores her Hamilton journey alongside the emotional terrain of family-building and new motherhood. Goldsberry originated the role of Angelica Schuyler in the Broadway phenomenon Hamilton, and appeared in Disney+’s filmed version, which won a Primetime Emmy Award (and will be screened on November 4th in the Union Cinema!). This special event will feature a moderated conversation with UWM Associate Professor of Theatre Sheri Williams Pannell.
