James Sokolowski

James Sokolowski has 15 years experience in educational partnership management, equity initiatives, and strategic program development. Prior to joining UWM, he was the GEAR UP grant and postsecondary engagement coordinator for Milwaukee Public Schools. In his time with MPS, he worked collaboratively to improve systems and develop programs that impact academic success and access for students underrepresented in higher education. Most recently he helped to create, implement, and managed the M-cubed College Connections dual enrollment program. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Policy & Community Studies and Africology and Master’s Degree in Sociology, all from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
